Design Notes

During the design of the sequence we afforded space for Xhol restriction cutting sites to allow for easy replacement and testing of riboswitches and promoters.

Source

The sequence for 'FRS1' was obtained from literature by Bo Zhang of UNC-Chapel Hill. The sequence for OXB18 was ordered from Sigma-Aldrich. The framework for the CHOP operon was developed by the East Chapel Hill 2017 team. We replaced the promoter with OXB18 and the original riboswitch construct with FRS1.
